This latest collaboration between SERC and the Tribe will bring the Yurok closer to installing systems on the Reservation that will improve Tribal energy security and/or earn revenues for the Tribe. SERC and the Tribe will identify one site for possible wind energy and two sites with hydro power potential. We will install monitoring equipment and collect at least a full year of resource data at each site in order to make informed decisions about power generation feasibility and scale. We will also perform preliminary environmental impact assessments and help the Tribe to develop business plans for developing the sites.
