Interpretation

Interpretive signs and brochures that educate the public about clean energy technology are another important aspect of the Center’seducation and outreach efforts. Our interpretive projects include:

Brochures for the Humboldt County Energy Task Force’s (now the Redwood Coast Energy Authority) energy conservation and renewable energy public education campaign.

New signs at the Schatz Solar Hydrogen Project to explain the renewable hydrogen cycle and the technologies involved. We also updated the tri-fold brochure that provides more details about the system and is available to visitors in an outdoor dispenser.

A sign and brochure to explain the solar water heating system at Kuchel Visitor Center in Redwood National Park. SERC interns designed and installed the water heating system in summer 2002.

We are currently working on signage, a brochure, and a real-time data monitoring display for the United Indian Health Services’ new 40-kW photovoltaic system.
